Youth of Preble, Freidheim, and Bingen
ICE SKATING AND CONEY ISLAND. Middle School Youth Event Sunday, February 10. We will meet in the Bingen parking lot at 1 p.m. on Sunday, February 10 to carpool to Headwaters Park Ice Skating Rink. After skating for a while we will then head to Coney Island for some hot dogs, coney-dogs, cheese dogs, chili, hamburgers, cheeseburgers, baked beans, and pie. We plan to be back to Bingen by about 5:30 p.m. Please let Pastor Yeager know if you plan to participate by Friday, February 8. Parents, consider serving as a chaperone, and let Pastor Yeager know this as well.
MOVIE NIGHT AT CASTON HOME. February 24 5:30-8:30 p.m. Chris and Tina Caston will again host a movie night at their home (1988 E. 900 N.; Decatur, IN 46733). Come and enjoy their incredible home theater! Pizza and popcorn provided. Please note the start time of 5:30 p.m.
SNOW SKIING IN N. MICHIGAN March 8-10. The current plan is to leave from the Bingen parking lot around 5 p.m. on Friday, arrive in Harbor Springs / Petoskey, MI Friday night where we have free lodging at Royce and Shelly Bradbury’s condo as well as Brian and Angela Horning’s house, ski all day Saturday, go to church Sunday morning at Zion Lutheran in Petoskey, and return to Decatur by mid-afternoon Sunday. Total cost will probably be around $100-150 per person for the whole weekend (which seems like a good deal for transportation, two nights of lodging, lift tickets, equipment rentals, and food). We will get more details out soon, but we wanted to include the dates and general details now so interested individuals can schedule it. Please let Pastor Brock know if you’re planning to participate. Again, more information will be forthcoming.
