Church Directory—Update from RLH Photography: Many Thanks for the patience on this process for the updated directory. They are making their way to our studio and will be available to pick-up from church on August 4th. As a reminder, all members that participated in the Church Portraits will be receiving their complimentary copies with their FREE 5x7 print. Other members that are interested in a copy, please see Pastor Yeager. Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to conduct this project. It was a pleasure.
Volunteers Needed for SPI-Wyneken BBQ Cook-Off. Both youth and adult volunteers are needed to help set-up and serve at the August 10 BBQ Cook-Off. Several men are needed at 10 a.m. that day in the grove across from Wyneken to help set up tents, tables, and chairs. Youth and any willing adults are invited to arrive at 2:45 p.m. for a brief description of needed tasks throughout the afternoon such as trash removal, supervision at inflatables, food set-up, etc. As always, many willing hands will make quick work of the clean-up following the event. We look forward to seeing you then!
SPI v. Wyneken BBQ Cook-Off. Please join our five churches and schools on Saturday, August 10 at 3 p.m. for food, fellowship, and fun in the St. John grove across from Wyneken! Activities such as inflatables, corn-hole, volleyball, ladder-golf, and more will be available beginning at 3 p.m. You are also welcome to bring your own games and/or cards. Four kinds of BBQ, water, and lemonade are provided, and you are invited to bring your own beverages and side or dessert. Food warmers and coolers will be available to keep your food ready-to-serve. Food service and BBQ judging will begin at 5 p.m. Please also consider bringing your own lawn chairs, tables or picnic blanket, and tableware, if possible, as a limited amount will be available. A free-will donation will be received to support the PTLs (Parent Teacher Leagues) of our schools.
Church Picnic. The congregation is invited to enjoy food and fun at a Church Picnic we will host on Sunday, August 18th. This will begin after the Divine Service on Sunday morning. Pastor Yeager and Jake Miller will be grill masters. Sign up in the narthex to bring food items to accompany the sumptuous fare of hot dogs, burgers, and brats. Also, we are in need of some outside games for the kids. If you have corn hole, spike ball, a volleyball net for outside, or any other fun game, please bring it along.
Voters’ Meeting and Confirmation, Wedding, and Funeral Policies. The minutes of July’s Voters’ Meeting are in the narthex. Also, in the packet entitled ‘Pastor’s Report,’ I have three new policies for the Church to consider: a Confirmation, Wedding, and Funeral Policy which will set the guidelines for these events at St. Paul. I encourage every member to read these policies and give me feedback on what you think also needs to be included. I will update these drafts as needed and we will take them to October’s Voters’ Meeting for approval which is Oct. 22. –Pr. Yeager.
Middle and High School Youth
TODAY: Sunday, July 28; 1-6 p.m. – Putt-Putt Golf, Go-Go Karts, Hop-Hop Frog, Choo-Choo Train, Twisty-McTwisterton, and the Himalaya – We are going to the Fun Center in Columbia City!!! They’ve got the golf, and they’ve got the go-karts. They also have rides and an arcade. So bring a Hamilton (that would be a ten dollar bill) to Bingen’s parking lot at 1 p.m. and watch in bewildered embarrassment as the pastors behave like children on the choo-choo. It would be super-duper if we have at least 25 youth and adults, for that shall save us a bunch of Benjamins. This event is for BOTH Middle and High School youth. You may come even if you did not RSVP with a pastor.

Please contact Michael Rabel, Chris Caston, Brian Bulmahn, or Mr. Gavrun with any questions. Thank you in advance for your support of the school. ~ Wyneken School Board
