Church Picnic. The congregation is invited to enjoy food and fun at a Church Picnic we will host on Sunday, August 18th. This will begin after the Divine Service on Sunday morning. Pastor Yeager will be grill master. Sign up in the narthex to bring food items to accompany the sumptuous fare of hot dogs, burgers, and brats. Also, we are in need of some outside games for the kids. If you have corn hole, spike ball, a volleyball net for outside, or any other fun game, please bring it along.

The Large Catechism Study continues to meet 6pm Wednesdays through the summer months.  Even if you missed the first few sessions, you are certainly invited to join now - we have materials available for you.

Middle School Youth

Middle School Youth Event: Sunday, July 28; 1-6 p.m. – Putt-Putt Golf, Go-Go Karts, Hop-Hop Frog, Choo-Choo Train, Twisty-McTwisterton, and the Himalaya – It rained a bit in May and this was postponed. To spite the storms, we have improved it for July. Forget the Fort, we’re going to the Fun Center in Columbia City!!! They’ve got the golf, and they’ve got the go-karts. They also have rides and an arcade. So bring a Hamilton (that would be a ten dollar bill) to Bingen’s parking lot at 1 p.m. and watch in bewildered embarrassment as the pastors behave like children on the choo-choo. It would be super-duper if we have at least 25 youth and adults, for that shall save us a bunch of Benjamins.

High School Youth

Sunday, July 7 – 4th of July Weekend – No Youth Gathering

Sunday, July 14; 6:30-8:30 p.m. – Did someone say…Slip-n-Slide Kickball?  If the weather warrants it, we’ll make it happen.

Sunday, July 21 – 4-H Fair – No Youth Gathering

Sunday, July 28; 1-6 p.m. – Putt-Putt Golf, Go-Go Karts, Hop-Hop Frog, Choo-Choo Train, Twisty-McTwisterton, and the Himalaya – This was a Middle School event scheduled for May, but it was rained out.  To spite the storms, we’ve made it bigger and better, and the high school hooligans are invited to the Fun Center in Columbia City!!! If you can beat the clergy at miniature golf, we’ll buy you a miniature prize. Bring a Hamilton to Bingen’s parking lot at 1 p.m. Bring also your friends and the neighbor’s nanny, ‘cuz we need at least 25 to save a bunch of Benjamins.
