At St. Paul, Preble

Sunday School-teachers and students will be recognized today with certificates and books for the various age groups.  This will take place after the Benediction and before the Closing Hymn.  Please send your children forward when Mr. Tim Hoffman calls their name.

Sunday School-teacher meeting this Tuesday the 4th at 7pm.  Several members have expressed interest in a Church-wide picnic for all members and families.  At this meeting, we would like to plan this picnic and also address whatever needs and concerns the teachers may have.

Large Catechism Bible Class starts this Wednesday the 5th at 6pm and will continue through the summer months.  If anyone is interested in attending Adult Catechesis toward membership in the Church, this class would serve that purpose.  It will also be fruitful and edifying for all members.  Sign up in the narthex if you plan to attend.

St. Paul has the service at Woodcrest this Thursday the 6th at 1:30pm.  As always, help with pushing wheelchairs beforehand is appreciated.

We rejoice with our Seminarian and now Vicar-Elect Tim Schmisser and his fiancée and Deaconess student Chelsie MacIntosh who will be united in Holy Marriage this Saturday the 8th at 1pm at Kramer Chapel, CTS-Ft. Wayne, Pr. Yeager is honored to officiate their wedding.  The congregation is invited to the service.

VBS- help needed. St. Paul is responsible for serving two dinners during this year’s VBS. The Ladies Aid has the meal covered for Wednesday. We need parents and volunteers to help with Monday’s meal on June 24th. The menu is simple and all help will be appreciated. The meal is for about 125 people. Please talk with Pr. Yeager for more information.

Vacation Bible School. 2019 Miraculous Mission Vacation Bible School

at Wyneken - June 23-27. Online registration for both children and volunteers is open: www.vbsmate.com/wyneken. Vacation Bible School is a high energy week of hearing, singing, and rejoicing in God’s Word! At Miraculous Mission VBS this year, we will learn about God’s miraculous mission to save us! The Bible accounts we will hear of God’s mission for us tell of how God made the universe; His promise of a Savior to Abram; the birth of Jesus, our Savior; Jesus’ death and resurrection; and Jesus’ ascension. Our Key Bible Verse is John 3:16

“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.”  Registration is open for potty-trained children, ages 3-entering 6th grade.

Lutheran Night at the TinCaps. Monday, July 22nd. Game time 7:05pm. $10/ticket. St. Paul will collect names and money through July 1st. Speak to Pr. Yeager if you would like to handle this project on behalf of the Church and he would be more than happy to pass it off to you!

At Wyneken

SGO donor applications are available on a table in the narthex.  Donating to Wyneken via the SGO program not only helps students  and supports our school, but also alleviates St. Paul’s financial obligation toward the School.  Donors can also save 50% on their Indian State taxes.  Go to lutheransgo.org for more information on this helpful program.
