At St. Paul, Preble
Summer Time Change. Today, May 19th, will be the last Sunday with two services at 8 and 10:15AM. Sunday, May 26th, we will move to one service on Sunday morning at 9AM. There will be no Sunday School or Bible Class during summer months.
Summer Bible Study. Pr. Yeager is starting a Bible Study on the Large Catechism. This will begin Wednesday, June 5th and will continue throughout the Wednesdays of the summer months. This class will meet at 6PM and last for an hour. We have ordered several Catechisms for this class. Please sign up in the narthex if you plan to attend regularly, so we have enough Catechisms for everyone. Thank you.
Sunday School certificates, along with Bibles and Catechisms for our students, will be presented after service on Sunday, June 2nd.
Vacation Bible School. 2019 Miraculous Mission Vacation Bible School

Lutheran Night at the TinCaps. Monday, July 22nd. Game time 7:05pm. $10/ticket. St. Paul will collect names and money through July 1st. Speak to Pr. Yeager if you would like to handle this project on behalf of the Church and he would be more than happy to pass it off to you!
We Rejoice with Sem. Tim Schmeisser, who was assigned as Vicar to Trinity Lutheran Church, St. Joseph, Mich. last week. We rejoice with Tim on this placement and also on his upcoming marriage to Chelsea MacIntosh, deaconess student at CTS. May God bless them.

Wyneken Memorial Lutheran School Board is seeking a part-time maintenance worker to serve 20 hours per week. This salaried position provides regular maintenance and upkeep for the facilities and equipment at Wyneken Memorial Lutheran School. Interested individuals should have understanding and experience in basic electrical, plumbing repair, general repairs/upkeep, maintenance, painting and/or equivalent work experience. Middle School Youth Event: Sunday, May 19; 1-5 p.m. - Putt-Putt Golf, Go-Go Karts, Yum-Yum Snacks!! You know the drill. Meet in Bingen's parking lot at 1 p.m. Bring a parent to drive and $10 to play. Caddies provided. Seatbelts required. Injuries optional. Tell Pastor Putter if you're going by Wednesday, May 15. ( ; 260-301-1640). If it's raining, we'll try again in June.
High School Youth Event: Sunday, May 19; 6:30-8:30 p.m. – Spring Cleaning at Parsonage 1. Because that credenza is not going to dust itself. We’ll also vacuum the windows and wash the carpets. If it’s nice, we’ll have a fire. If it’s not, we’ll have a fit. Bring your mother’s cleaning supplies and a definition of the word “credenza.”
Teacher Needed. Wyneken is accepting applications for an additional 1st grade teacher. It is preferred that all candidates have LCMS synodical and theological teacher training. Please contact Mr. Gavrun in the school office (639-6177) with any names for consideration.
Wyneken Graduates: As we celebrate the 50th anniversary of Wyneken Lutheran School, we recognize the graduates of our school. This week, the class of 2008. We rejoice with Bethlehem Ossian, as Rev. Samuel Wirgau of Trinity Luth. Church, Iowa Park, TX and Immanuel Luth. Church, Harrold, TX accepted the Divine Call to serve as their new pastor. Rev. Wirgau will be installed at Bethlehem at 3PM on Sat., June 8th. All are invited to attend.
Nelson’s Chicken Dinner – Zion Decatur’s Alaskan Service Mission team is hosting a Chicken Dinner and 9 Hole Golf Scramble on May 19 from 11:30 – 1 at the Cross Creek Golf Course. This location will serve Nelson’s half chicken, two sides, drink and a cookie for $9. We are also selling the Nelson’s half chicken only at the 24/30 which is on the corner of Monroe and 13th Street from 10:00 – 2:00 for $7.
