At St. Paul, Preble
Acolytes. Pr. Yeager would like to have a brief meeting today at the start of Bible Class/Sunday school (9:15) with all acolytes for a brief time of training. All boys in Confirmation are now invited to serve as acolytes and will be added to the acolyte rotation starting in November. It will be most important for these new acolytes to come to training today. If you cannot make it, please talk to Pr. Yeager.
Pr. Brege joins us today to preach and teach Bible Class this morning. As always, we keep Pr. Brege, our sister Churches and the Indiana District in our prayers, that our heavenly Father would bless the labors of faithful pastors and Churches, preserve the Church from the attacks of Satan and the world, and increase his kingdom among us.
Adult Catechism has begun and meets Weds. at 7:15, (following the Large Catechism class) and will continue October thru March. If you or someone you know is interested in taking classes toward membership at St. Paul this class is a great opportunity, not simply to increase one’s knowledge about God, but to strengthen faith in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, and to help one live out that faith in life. Since receiving the Lord’s teaching is a way of life, not only for first-time catechumens but for all Christians, this class is open and available to all members of St. Paul, as well as friends and relatives. If you are interested please let Pr. Yeager know of your intention to join so that we have enough materials for everyone.
Elders, Council, and Voters will be Oct. 28-29th. Pastor Yeager will be away at Pastor’s Conference Oct. 20-22, so these were rescheduled.
Refreshments for Sunday morning Bible Class/Sunday School. All members are welcomed to sign up on the calendar in the fellowship hall to provide refreshments on any Sunday. Most of Oct/Nov. is currently free for those who would like to sign up. Thanks!

Tonight we will gather at parsonage #1 for a bonfire, fellowship, and prayer at 6:30pm. Next week we will have Wyn. service night @ 6:30.
Wednesday, October 23; 9 a.m.–3 p.m. – Father/Son Seminary Visit
All middle school and high school boys and their fathers are invited to visit Concordia Theological Seminary on this Wednesday of Fall Break. We will leave from Bingen’s parking lot at 9 a.m., attend chapel, tour the campus, sit in on a class, meet some faculty and staff, and get a glimpse into the process of pastoral formation. Even if there is little to no interest in studying toward the Office of the Holy Ministry, this is a great opportunity to visit this treasure of the church that’s right in our back yard. Talk to Pr. Yeager if interested in joining himself and Pr. Brock.
Higher Things Conference 2020. At our annual youth group planning meeting, we decided to attend the Higher Things Conference next summer. The Conferences will be held at four locations across the country. We settled on the Conference happening at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, July 14-17, 2020, because of date and location.
If you are interested in going, please contact Pr. Yeager.

Like aluminum, brass, copper, stainless steel, wrought iron or old appliances, leftover building material, strands of burnt-out Christmas lights, farm equipment, cars, and tin roofing.
